About LotGauge
LotGauge helps used-car shoppers find cars that fit what they can really afford each month, not just the sticker price.

What LotGauge does
Most car sites sort by sticker price. LotGauge starts from the number that matters to your budget: the true monthly cost. That means the loan payment plus estimated sales tax, title and registration, dealer fees and insurance, using your own down payment, trade-in, APR and term.
Signed-in users save one search and LotGauge looks for current dealer listings that fit that monthly budget, then shows how each number was worked out.
Free tools
The car payment calculator and the car-buying guides are free for everyone, with no account. The calculator shows the amount financed, payment, total interest, an amortization schedule and the effect of extra payments.
Free pages may show advertising, which helps keep these tools free.
How we treat evidence
LotGauge only shows a car when it can tie it to an exact VIN and a current listing page. Title and history checks fail closed: when a title can't be confirmed, LotGauge says so rather than calling it clean. Read more in How LotGauge works.
LotGauge is an information service, not a dealer, lender or vehicle-history report. Always confirm price, title, fees and financing with the seller or lender, and consider an independent inspection before you buy.
